Architecture as a Cultural Act
Founded in 2025, Office Atelier is a multidisciplinary architecture studio dedicated to shaping meaningful, forward-thinking spaces. We engage design as a cultural act—rooted in curiosity, rigor, and a belief that architecture can challenge inherited models of living and offer new ways of inhabiting the world.
At the heart of our practice is a belief that architecture is not simply about building; it is about crafting meaning, shaping behavior, and offering new ways of seeing and being. We approach each project as an open question, where ideas evolve through dialogue, iteration, and careful consideration of context, light, and material logic. Pragmatic constraints—budget, regulation, performance—are not limitations, but catalysts that sharpen the clarity of our design responses.
Our work emerges from a dialogue between theory and construction, embracing the optimism and responsibility inherent in building. We strive to produce architecture that is precise, expressive, and attuned to contemporary life.
TEAM
Dylan Alberts Otte, NCARB
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota he is the founding principal of Office Atelier and a licensed architect in the state of Minnesota. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology, in Chicago, including study in Chile through a design-build studio. After graduating, he moved to Barcelona, where he led residential renovations shaping a global and context-driven design perspective. Dylan has since contributed to design-forward projects in Chicago and led multifamily and infill work in Seattle. His work has been recognized with an AIA Small Project Honor Award and the Roberta Feldman Architecture for Social Justice Award.
Rosa Rafart Degracia Partner and co-founder of Office Atelier. She holds a degree in Architectural Studies and a Master’s in Architecture from the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), completed in 2018. Her academic experience also includes studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago.
